This tour visits the northern part of Kenya (Samburu National Reserve), Central Highlands of Kenya (Sweetwaters Tented Camp),The Great Rift valley (L Nakuru National Park), The famous Masai Mara and finally the Kenyan Coast, Mombasa
 
Tour Itinerary:

Day One:
Early morning arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where you will be met by a driver /guide with a paging board with your name on it. Transfer from the airport to our offices for a safari briefing.

Thereafter we head north, “crossing” the Equator at Nanyuki and leaving the highlands, down to dry scrublands of Northern Kenya and head towards Samburu National Reserve.

The permanent water and forest shade on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro River attract plentiful wildlife from the region including elephant, cheetah, giraffe, oryx, velvet monkeys, zebra, and crocodiles. Leopards are usually spotted. This is one of the pleasant parks in Kenya and is not too crowded. Arriving in time for lunch, and enjoy a late afternoon game drive. Overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day Two:
An early morning game drive before breakfast in search of reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, graceful gerenuk and grey’s zebra in the rugged splendour of this exciting sanctuary. After breakfast relax around the swimming pool or take well-deserved snooze before taking a hearty lunch. A late afternoon game drive is taken to search for wild animal not yet seen! Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day Three:

Depart Samburu Serena Lodge after breakfast at 0730 hours to head north towards the central highlands of Kenya to reach Sweetwaters Tented Luxury Camp, just 30 kms from the turn off to Nanyuki town which is very close to the second highest mountain in Africa, the snow capped Mount Kenya.

Sweetwaters Tented Luxury Camp is located on a private game ranch and set on a 22,000-acre rhino sanctuary on Ol Pejeta Ranch. Lunch at Sweetwaters Tented Luxury Camp and a late afternoon game drive is taken, where you are able to see a variety of animals like rhino, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and plains game and a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Luxury Camp

Optional extra:
A night game drive is available at Sweetwaters Tented Camp. This can be arranged with the reception.

Day Four:
Depart Sweetwaters Tented Luxury Camp by 0730 hours for L. Nakuru National Park (Nakuru:Masai: en-akuro, meaning “swirling dust”) arriving at 1230 hours approx. Lake Nakuru is one of the seven lakes in the Great Rift Valley in Kenya. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingo population.

The alkaline constitution of Lake Nakuru supports a vast flowering of the blue-green algae and diatoms on which flamingos live. So rich are the waters that the birds assemble there in there millions. There is a wide variety of wildlife found in this park. Lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Afternoon game drive is taken from 1530 hours to 1830 hours. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day Five:
Early breakfast and depart Sarova Lion Hill Lodge at 0730hours for the incomparable Masai Mara National Reserve the world’s finest game reserve. Situated at the northern most tip of the vast Serengeti eco-system, the Masai Mara offers the most spectacular game viewing of any park in East Africa. The Mara Covering 700 square miles is the Africa of movies and photographs consisting of large open grasslands dotted with acacia trees. Mara Sarova Tented Luxury Lodge is reached in time for lunch. A late afternoon game drive is taken to see the varied wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Tented Luxury Lodge

Day Six:
O630 hours early morning game drive in Masai Mara followed by breakfast. After breakfast relax or take well – deserved snooze before taking a hearty lunch.

A late afternoon game drive is taken at 1530 hours to 1830 hours. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sarova Tented Luxury Lodge.

Day Seven:
After breakfast we check out of Mara Sarova Tented Lodge and head north to Nairobi, lunch at Carnivore Restaurant and after lunch transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a flight to Mombasa (Fly 540 Airlines). The flight departs at 1800 hours arriving Mombasa International Airport at 1900 hours and transfer to Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort for dinner and overnight.

Day Eight:
Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort at leisure- overnight at Whitesands Beach Resort based on half board accommodation.

Day Nine:
Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort at leisure - overnight at Whitesands Beach Resort based on half board accommodation.

Day Ten:
After breakfast check out of the room at 1000 hours. Although you have checked out of the room you may still use the services of Whitesands Beach Resort. Lunch on your own and take a late afternoon transfer to Mombasa International Airport for a flight (Fly 540 Airlines) departing at 1930 hours arriving Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 2030 hours. Transfer yourself to the international departure unit for your flight to the next destination.

Cost includes:
A return transport from Nairobi in a seven seater minibus, full board accommodation while on safari, airfare from Nairobi – Mombasa – Nairobi, return airport transfers, half board accommodation in Mombasa, game drives, park entrance fees and lunch at Carnivore Restaurant on the last day of safari.

Not Included:
Items of personal nature, tips, visas, drinks, travel insurance and any other services which is not mentioned above.

Kindly Note: For the road safaris, the rate becomes cheaper per person, when more persons share a vehicle of seven.

Prices:
The prices quoted in US$ are nett. The rate is per person and includes full board accommodation, game drives (where applicable), park entrance fees and transport in a nine-seater mini-bus with a pop-up roof.

The rates stated here are per person sharing in a double.

Child Rates:

Although not shown, generally apply to 2-12 years sharing with parents. There are variations in prices in different hotels, lodges, camps and some properties do not allow children below certain age. Please enquire when sending us your information.
